Great Ormond Street Fund Raise

We are excited to announce our silent auction in partnership with British icons in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.

This charitable fundraise is inspired by the ‘Great Britons’ legacy photograph which has been unveiled in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday year. This unique image, littered with stars from all walks of life, was created by renowned photographer Alistair Morrison.

The silent auction will run until Wednesday 21st December, with participants being able to bid to win a one-of-a-kind signed London Sock Company sock monkey accompanied by a polaroid photograph of their chosen celebrity with the exclusive prize.

Dame Shirley Bassey

Dame Shirley Bassey’s singing career has spanned over 60 years including the recordings of the theme songs to James Bond films Goldfinger, Diamonds are Forever and Moonraker.

In 2000 she was made a Dame by Queen Elizabeth II for services to performing arts adding to her Brit award for best female solo artist received in 1977 and being named one of the 50 greatest Welsh men and women of all time receiving a lifetime achievement award in 2003.

In 2004 Dame Shirley Bassey won the Artist for Peace Award by UNESCO and in 2008 was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame.

Mary Berry has captured the heart of the nation in a career spanning over 40 years including a judging role on the popular tv show The Great British Bake-off, watched by over 11 million people in over 20 countries.

Mary has written over 70 cookbooks and in 2012 received a CBE for services to culinary arts.

David Gandy

David Gandy is Britain’s most famous male model, philanthropist, entrepreneur and charity ambassador.

After winning a televised competition in 2001, David dominated the male fashion modelling industry.

In 2007 David became the premier model along with Bianca Balti for Dolce & Gabanno’s Light Blue campaign, which was to become one of the most iconic campaigns of all time.

In 2014 David launched his own collection of underwear loungewear and swimwear for Marks & Spencer’s and is repeatedly included on British GQ’s list of best dressed men winning their Most Stylish Man of the year in 2015.

David Suchet is a British actor best known for his work on the British stage and television.

David Suchet’s accolades include a BAFTA nomination, Best Actor Royal Television Society award and a lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding performance in Agatha Christie’s Poirot.

In 2008 he won an international Emmy award for best actor at the international Emmy awards in New York for his role as Robert Maxwell in the television film Maxwell.

In 2002 Suchet was appointed officer of the order of the British Empire OBE and also awarded the CBE in 2011.
